Behavioral Healthcare Services
The process of providing behavioral health services to a hospital or prison population presents a challenging endeavor requiring the management of issues related to level of care, assessment, crisis management, intervention and prevention. CFG Health Systems has the personnel, the resources, and the experience to meet this challenge in a competent, efficient and effective manner. Among our many offerings are psychiatric/psychological services, officer evaluations. substance abuse counseling in a variety of settings, outpatient services, and partial hospitalization programs.
CFG is one of the leading behavioral healthcare providers in the Delaware Valley, and currently provides behavioral health services to a wide range of adult correctional facilities, juvenile facilities, and other federal and county facilities. In addition we provide behavioral health services to seven major hospital systems throughout the state of New Jersey and Philadelphia, school districts, and community mental health agencies.

Training Services
CFG employs staff with significant national and international exposure. Recently one of our psychiatrists was invited to lecture in Israel on the topic of mental health in corrections.
CFG provided a series of workshops for officers, superintendents and assistant superintendents for the following states: NY, NJ, DC, CT, DE and VT at the Mid Atlantic State Correctional Association (MASCA) Conference.
CFG staff has extensive experience in training state, county and federal correctional officers in both adult and juvenile settings. Our staff’s experience involves training programs for medical and mental health staff, Federal Bureau of Investigations personnel and other various law enforcement agencies.
Many of our professional staff and managers have had articles published and/or presented in various journals such as the New Jersey Psychologist, Journal of Psychology and at the American Psychology Association,, on such topics such as Treatment of the Offender: Creating Context for Change, Challenges of Prison Work, Psychotherapy in Prisons, Life Review Group for Incarcerated Male Youth: A Narrative Approach to Adolescent Identity Construction etc.
CFG is an approved American Psychological Association sponsor of continuing education.

Telemedicine
CFG Health Systems, LLC has been a pioneer in the implementation of telemedicine in New Jersey. Telemedicine is the use of state-of-the-art audio and video telecommunications equipment to deliver medical and behavioral healthcare services when the patient and practitioner are at different locations.
This technology allows for a patient-to-provider interaction that closely replicates physically being present and allows for expert treatment to patients in locations distant from the primary caregiver. Moreover, it allows for 24 hours per day, 7 days a week access.
Telemedicine is an appropriate resource:
- where access to services is limited by funds, distance and time
- in areas where there is a shortage of qualified health professionals
- when crisis intervention is required 24 hours a day
There are a number of benefits for a medical or correctional facility employing such a cutting-edge service, but the most immediate impact is in the quality of care to the patient.
