Title: NURSE PRACTITIONER

Location/Hours: Camden County Correctional Facility, Camden NJ
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Perform and document patient evaluations including taking the patient’s history and conducting a physical examination;
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests;
* Write orders for medical medications and treatments, under guidelines of licensure;
* May perform invasive procedures as necessary;
* Dictate discharge summaries and transfer orders;
* Maintain and follow patient care protocols;
* Work with members of the healthcare team in education the patients of their medical care;
* Continually update clinical knowledge and skills through consultation, formal and informal education and review of literature for the benefit of themselves as well as for the healthcare team.
Qualifications: Must possess a Master’s Degree and current and valid Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Nurse license in the State of New Jersey with at least one year experience providing direct patient care. Must have prescriptive authority. Previous experience in a correctional setting preferred.

Location/Hours: Cumberland County, Bridgeton NJ. Weekends. Saturday & Sunday 7 hours each day

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs assessments of inmate-patient in a variety of settings (intake, Health care unit for sick-call emergency situations in housing, chronic care clinics, and medical unit.) Utilizes assessment skills that require a knowledge base of both normal and abnormal adult health status.
- Plans nursing care by identification of inmate-patient needs based on assessments. Makes appropriate, timely referrals and initiates appropriate nursing care based on institutional policies and procedures.
- Implements nursing care and medical care orders in knowledgeable, safe and cost – effective manner. Documents nursing care and appropriate medically directed care in accordance with institutional policies and procedures. Provides inmate education as an integral part of total patient care.
- As team leader or charge nurse delegate’s duties to other health care team members based on skill, knowledge and experience and guides the provision of care by others.
- Participates in problem-solving activities of the health care team by attending unit meetings, utilizing positive interpersonal skills and appropriate channels to initiate change.
- Schedule includes every other weekend
Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment. Current CPR certification. Must conform to security clearance standards of institution of employment.

Title: REGISTERED NURSE
Status: Per Diem
Hours: 7:00A - 3:30P, 3:00P - 11:30P, or 7:00A - 11:30P flex.
Location: Adolescent Intensive Residential Treatment Program, Camden, NJ.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in the coordinating of resident care and communicates and collaborates with the other members of the healthcare team, residents and/or resident’s family/guardian.
- Provide resident and family education relative to nursing/medical and clinical services.
- Perform nursing histories and physical assessments.
- Participate in the clinical decision-making process, attend weekly treatment team meetings, monthly treatment plan meetings and other programmatic meetings relevant to the healthcare of the residents.
- Prescribed Medications and approved, over-the-counter medications shall be administered to resident population adhering to standard precautions and patient safety principles. All documentation for the prescription, administration, disposal, etc as detailed in the Manual of Residential Requirements.
- Assure that residents receive medical, dental and eye care as prescribed by the Medical Director and within the framework of the Manual of Residential Requirements.
- Review all referral documents received from the Division of Child Behavioral Health Services (DCBHS)for new admissions. (see admission process)
- Demonstrate competency in Handle With Care de-escalation and physical behavioral management techniques.
- Participate in problem-solving activities of the program clinical team by attending meetings, utilizing positive interpersonal skills and appropriate channels to initiate change.
Qualifications: Valid New Jersey RN license. Minimum of 2 years experience working with children with behavioral and emotional needs. Current CPR certification. Psych certified preferred.

Title: LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Initiates the admission process and assists with the identification of recurrent health problems, symptoms, and behavioral changes of the patient.
- Collects pertinent data through observation, interview, other members of the health team, and communicates changes in the patient condition to other patient care providers.
- Records all data obtained through assessment in the patient’s health record.
- Assist in the formation of a written plan.
- Assist in identifying both short and long term timed, measurable goals with anticipated behavioral changes.
- Assist with patient health care and participates in multi-disciplinary care conferences.
- Counts CDS Drugs and contraband, if required.
- Assists physician in minor medical/surgical procedures.
- Transcribes and posts all therapeutic orders generated by the physician.
- Initiates and documents prescribed treatments for nursing intervention in compliance with policy and procedure.
- Administers routine and/or PRN medications as ordered.
- Schedule includes every other weekend.

CFG PHYSICIAN OPPORTUNITIES:
Title: PHYSICIAN / NURSE PRACTITIONER
Status: Full Time & Part Time
Location: Cumberland County, Bridgeton NJ.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Conducts physical examinations of inmates; exercises sound judgment in initiating and prescribing therapy within the guidelines of written protocols
- Interviews inmates, documents their medical history and makes assessments and/or physical diagnosis of condition
- Maintains proper clinical records and reports, using problem – oriented medical records which can be audited for accountability
- Initiates medications and treatments as authorized by licensed physician via established protocols
- Gives necessary emergency treatment and referral to anyone injured
- Refer and consults with physicians for evaluation and recommendation regarding unusual findings
- Provides specific health counseling and general health education to concerned inmates
- Refers inmates for specialized medical care including arrangement for any necessary ambulance transportation
- Guides and assists Nurse Practitioner, professional nurses and non professional staff in making clinical judgments
- May administer certain tests and employ related tab procedures including but not limited electrocardiograms and pap tests
- Participates in and/or conducts in-service presentations
- Performs related duties as required
- Takes health histories and performs physical examinations
- Serve as Chairman of the Medical Audit Committee
- Consult with medical providers in the community to resolve issues in delivering services to inmates
- Supervise the clinical services provided by the professional and paraprofessional staff
- Represent the health care program in discussions with local civic groups or visiting officials.
- Monitor referral to outside health care facilities for appropriateness, quality and continuity of care
- Attend Pharmacy Therapeutic Committee meetings and other meetings, as required
- Be available for the resolution of adult & juvenile medical issues
- Serve as the professional resource for all physicians working at the facility
- Assist in screening, interviewing and evaluating credentials of health care providers
- Supervise clinical practice of Nurse Practitioner in accordance with collaborative agreement
Qualifications: Fully licensed to practice medicine in the state of New Jersey. Current DEA registration. Preferable board certified or board eligible in primary care specialty (family practice, internal medicine or surgery), with administrative experience in corrections and/or managed health care delivery. Must conform to security clearance standards of institution of employment.

CFG THERAPIST OPPORTUNITIES (MS & BS):
Title: PSYCHOLOGIST
Status: Part Time Weekends
Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 7 hours per day. Start time is flexible provided it is between the hours of 6am & 12pm. No less than 7 hours per day.
Location: Middlesex County, North Brunswick.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide psychological evaluation, group and individual therapy and crisis intervention to patients located at the adult correctional institution;
- Conduct and review forensic evaluation;
- Administer and interpret intellectual and personality assessments when requested by treatment team or as required by a forensic evaluation;
- Promote a positive working relationship with Health Services, mental health staff, correctional staff and CFG administrative staff.
Qualifications: Must be licensed as a Psychologist in the state of New Jersey. Minimum of 1 year experience providing services in inpatient/outpatient environment and/or experience providing services in a correctional environment preferred but not required. Must complete a satisfactory background investigation.
